The Lord decided to grant peace and eternal rest to Latosha P. Lucas, affectionately known as “Tosha”. Tosha was born on December 6, 1988, in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late Sonya Booth and Lamont Lucas. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in the comfort of her home.
Tosha received her early education from the Horry County Public School System. Tosha consistently demonstrated academic excellence throughout her school years. During her high school tenure, her friendly and outgoing personality earned her numerous titles, including 2006 Homecoming Queen, Miss Senior Court, Miss Mirror Court, and Best Dressed. Tosha’s keen fashion sense was evident from an early age. Tosha graduated from Conway High School with the class of 2007.
Tosha attended Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina, and graduated with the class of 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in communication. During her collegiate tenure, Tosha was inducted into the Xi Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta in the Spring of 2009.
After relocating to Philadelphia, PA., Tosha was given an opportunity to start a career with Amtrak. Distinguished by her exceptional ability to interact with a wide range of individuals and positively impact their lives. During this period, she formed a lasting bond with co-workers, this is where she met Dominique Henry, who became the love of her life.
Tosha’s love for her family was apparent to everyone who knew her. Being a mother was one of her most notable accomplishments. She took pride in being a mother to her three adorable children. Despite facing numerous challenges in her life, Tosha’s resilience and inner strength allowed her to preserve and overcome them, ultimately proving herself to be a survivor.
Tosha was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sonya Booth Lucas; her maternal grandmother, Sylvia Grace Wallingford; her paternal grandfather, Willie Chiles; and an uncle who was like a father, Harold Fairwell.
Tosha is survived by her devoted father, Lamont Lucas; bonus mother, Turina Lucas; paternal grandmother, Betty Chiles; paternal grandfather, Lamont Lucas, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Deacon Joe Jake (Audrey) Booth; bonus grandfather, Deacon Harold Johnson; the love of her life, Dominique Henry; her loving children, her daughter, Marley Henry; her sons, Princeton Henry, and Jasiyah Henry; her sisters, Aisha Booth, Lashenda Lucas, Breona (Malcolm) Fairwell, Sierra Evans, Kaylyn (Darrien) Evans-Gardener, and Lauren Lucas; her nieces, Nadine Allison, Latajai Allison, and Aria Fairwell; her nephews, Alex Robinson, Nasir Fairwell, and Kash Fairwell; a special aunt, Eugenia Booth; two special family members, Hope Henry-Hanna and Emma Jean Henry; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
