Mr. Lee Morris Bryant SR, the son of the late George and Ruby Bryant was born on January 11, 1945 in Barnesville, NC. He attended the public school in Proctorville, NC. He later moved to South Carolina where he attended Finklea Career Center and received his auto mechanic license. Upson moving to S.C. he also became a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of the late Reverend. Blue
Mr. Lee Morris Bryant Sr. hobbies included working on the farm, fishing, hunting, gardening, and most of all listening to his music on Sundays.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Mrs. Shelby J. Bryant of Longs, S.C., 1 daughter Diane B (Gregory) Chestnut, 1 son Lee Morris (Vaness) Bryant Jr of Lexington, KY, 3 step-children Douglas (Joanna) Stinson of Longs, SC, Johnny Farris of New York and Betty Glmore who precedes him in death, One brother Johnny (Betty) Bryant, 3 sisters Beatrice (Mose) Johnson and Ruby Mae CarMichael both of Tabor City, N.C., Dorothy Brown of Loris, S.C., sister-in-law Mary Bryant and Sally Stinson, 9 Grandchildren, 40 step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers George Bryant Jr, Jethro Bryant 1 sister Lillie Mae Stackhouse which all three preceded him in death, a host of nieces, nephews, special friends and 3 special nieces Freda Harrison, Winnie Stevens and Tammy Brown.
Lee Morris Bryant of Nichols passed on June 17, 2020. There will be a private graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020, held at Marsh Branch Cemetery in Orrum, North Carolina. Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel is in charge of arrangments.
