Mrs. Lillie Pearl Gerald was born to the late Annie Neal Wilson of Longs, South Carolina, on August 16, 1942. Her journey ended on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Seacoast McLeod Hospital in Little River, South Carolina.
She attended Chestnut Consolidated School. Later in life, she worked at Marline’s sewing plant for many years and then at AVX until her health began to fail. She later worked in the hospitality industry for Pepper Tree Hotel. Lillie Pearl accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined Myrtle Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Lillie Pearl was an avid baker, baking cakes and pies for family, friends, and for any bereaved family that she knew. Lillie also sewed handmade quilts for family, friends, and newborn babies.
She was also a “taxi cab” for many (the first Uber service), driving all over Horry County until her health no longer permitted it. Lillie loved visiting the elderly.
Two daughters, Orbalene Bellamy and Janice Bellamy, and 12 siblings preceded her in death.
Lillie Pearl leaves a legacy of loved ones to cherish her memories: one daughter, Gloria Bellamy of Longs, South Carolina; three sons, Eric Bellamy and Eugene Gerald of Longs, South Carolina, and Cecil Gerald of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; one sister, Sebrina Benjamin of Longs, South Carolina; six nieces; four nephews; five special cousins, Lindsey Frinks, Bernelle Floyd, Minnie Pearl Smith, Lorraine Wilson, and Mary Ellen Wilson; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren along with a host of other loving cousins and friends.
