Linda Shird

Mrs. Linda Gerald Shird, a beloved daughter of Mr. Dennis Lewis and the late Mrs. Josiemae Hemingway, was born on May 13, 1960 in Horry County, South Carolina. She was the only child blessed to this union.

Linda attended the public schools of Horry County. She was a formal employee of Gina Reno of Miami , Fla., and Heritage Hotel of Florence, SC where she was a faithful and hardworking employee.
In 2001, Linda was united in Holy Matrimony to Lavern Shird in Florence, SC. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother of three children.
She preceded in death by her mother, Josiemae Hemingway, maternal grandparents, Eddie and Veolar Gerald, three siblings, Rosie Johnson, Eddie Gerrald Jr., and Evelyn Thomas one grandchild, Ja’veon Baccus.
Linda leaves to cherish her precious memories, two daughters, Christy Monique Gerrald and Antoinette Baccus, one son, Robert Clifford Baccus, 7 grandchildren, her siblings, James (Gloria) Gerrald, Donald (Theresa) Gerrald and Harry (Katherine) Gerald all of Florence, SC, two sisters, Barbara (late William) Davis and Rosa Gerrald and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. 

Linda Shird passed May 20, 2020 in Florence, SC. A private graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Union Chapel AME Church Cemetery, Galivants Ferry, SC.  Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
