Lois Williams Wallace of Conway passed away peacefully from this life into eternal rest on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Conway Medical Center in Conway, South Carolina.
Lois was born on February 8, 1943, in Williamsburg County, South Carolina to Dorothy Mae Watson Williams and Stephen Williams both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Stephen F. Williams, Jr., and Ulysses B. Bellamy
Lois attended Whittemore Elementary School and graduated from Whittemore High School Class of 1961. From childhood, Lois attended Bethel A.M.E. Church under the Leadership of Reverend McClary for forty-two (42) years. She was a member of the Bethel-Lites Choir, Missionary Society and Kitchen Staff.
Lois was married to Reuben R. Sessions of Conway, SC and in her later years married James W. Wallace of Pawleys Island, SC both of whom preceded her in death. In September of 1986, Lois moved to Pawleys Island, SC and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a Deaconess, Cook/Kitchen Aid and Senior Citizens Coordinator. In 2003, Lois moved back to Conway, SC and rejoined Bethel A.M.E.
Lois worked for AVX in Myrtle Beach, SC; Horry County Government; Waccamaw EOC; Babcock Center in Columbia, SC, and other various odd jobs until her Retirement. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes and small crafts.
Lois is survived by her four lovely Daughters, Rhonda S. Hasan, Stephanie S. Malone, Lois Melissa Johnson and Terry D. Sessions and her only son, Elwood “Maurice” Sessions (Paulette). Fifteen Grandchildren: Mikal Maxim (Oana), Shakira O. Anderson (Kyle), Kersha L. Hunter (Cedric), Shayla M. Rogers (Richie), Stevie Johnson, Anisha J. Malone, Antwan L. Sessions, Shanita Thomas, Kamara R. Jones, Alexis Harris, Dakisha Ledell, Leslie L. “KiKi” Johnson, Alexandria Sessions, Elgin Sessions and Joshua Johnson and Fifteen Great-Grands. One sister, Beatrice Bellamy and one brother, Herbert Bellamy. Two Aunts, Margaret Sessions and Louise Grice and numerous other relatives and friends.
Lois Wallace of Conway passed on November 5, 2021. A viewing will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 Wednesday November 10, 2021 at Ocean View Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. There will be a graveside service held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Conway. Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel will be assisting this family.
