Lula Belle Davis

Lula Belle Davis, daughter of the late Ed and Ruth Nance Davis, exchanged time for eternity on Saturday January 8, 2022, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Accomack County, Virginia.

Lula Belle was born November 19, 1955, in Horry County, South Carolina. She grew up in the Bucksville community of Conway, SC. She was educated in the Horry County school system and graduated from Conway High School class of 1976. She worked several jobs including: Driving the bus for CRPTA and was a caretaker in the community.

In the mid to late 1990’s she relocated to Norfolk, VA for a few years then returned to the Bucksport/ Bucksville area for several years. Once again, she returned to Virginia where she found the Jehovah Witness faith that helped change her life for the better.

Lula was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Ruth Davis; 2 brothers: Rev. Edward Lee Davis and Willie C Davis; 2 brothers-in-law: Hilden Wright and Mack Bellamy; 1 sister-in-law: Geneva Davis; 2 nephews: Bruce and Rev. Terry Davis, and 1 niece: Lillie Mae Davis.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories: her loving daughter Potassa “Muffin” Davis of Beaufort, SC; 4 sisters Ester (James) Spain of Bucksville, SC, Lottie Bellamy of Norfolk, VA, Ruth Wright of Bucksville, SC, and Betty Sherman of Bluffton, SC; 2 brothers David Davis of Bucksport, SC, and J.C. (Gwendolyn) Davis of Far Rockaway, NY; one sister-in-law Ressie Davis of Orangeburg, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lula Belle Davis formerly of Bucksville, SC passed on January 8, 2022, in Virginia. There will be a visitation held from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Saturday, January 15, 2022. Funeral services will start directly after the visitation at 12:30 PM at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel. The family is requesting no flowers at this time please.
