Mardenia A. Pierson Knox

Mardenia A. Pierson Knox of Myrtle Beach passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. 

Mardenia A. Knox Pierson was born June 17, 1963, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to the late Emma Ruth Knox Pierson and Andrew Mason, Sr. She departed this earthly life at the tender age of 59 on Friday, April 14, 2023, at her home. Her will to live, faith in God and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her through to celebrate life.

Affectionately known as "Marty", she attended the Myrtle Beach High School receiving a diploma and graduating with the class of 1976. She worked at Hotel Blue as the laundry room supervisor for seven and a half years.

Spending time with her grandchildren and shopping was a must among the few things that Mardenia loved to do.

Two sisters, Pamela Simmons of Conway, and Latay Brown of South Carolina, and one brother, Andrew Mason, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina preceded her in death.

Mardenia leaves to cherish her loving memories her four children, Randy Knox, Reggie Knox, Ashley Knox, and Martia Knox all of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; one brother, Jeremiah Mason of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; thirteen grandchildren, a special friend, Brenda Ford of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a special adopted daughter, Nakiea Pickett of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a special aunt, Shelia Bland of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and a host of other family and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration of the Life of Mardenia will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel.
