Margaret Jean Bulich

Margaret Jean Bulich, 92, passed away at home on June 5, 2025, in Nakina, North Carolina in the comforting presence of her son, Melvin Bulich, and daughter, Donna Mace. She was born on March 7, 1933, in Wellsville, Ohio. Margaret was best known for her storytelling, sense of humor, generosity, and love for her children.

Margaret grew up in Wellsville, Ohio, the daughter of Walter Crawford and Henrietta Duck Thyne. Growing up with little, Margaret wove humor and warmth into her many cherished childhood stories, a testament to her joyful spirit and deep love for her parents and siblings.

Margaret loved Louis L'Amour novels, watching Gunsmoke, and country music, often singing with joy. With a gift of turning simple ingredients into delicious meals to feed her many children, Margaret truly shined in the kitchen, baking exceptional bread, pies, nut rolls, and fudge, all of which remain treasured memories for her children. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Bulich; her son, Michael Bulich; her daughters, Leah Kravel and Cathleen Bulich; her parents, Walter Crawford, and Henrietta Thyne; her sisters, Betty, Mary, and Ruth; her brothers, Wilber and Herbert.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Bulich, Frank (Terri) Bulich, Milan Bulich, and Melvin Bulich; her daughters, Mila Bulich, Donna (Bernard) Mace, and Brenda (Allen) Cornell; her sister, Evelyn Wilkinson; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Plans are being made for a memorial service that will take place in North Carolina. Margaret will be deeply missed by many but forever remembered.
