Marquita Delana Green was born on November 11, 1983, in Loris Community Hospital in Loris, South Carolina, to Deborah Green and the late Linford (JoAnn) Vereen. Marquita departed this life on Thursday, March 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Marquita attended Loris High School where she was loved by many. Some of her favorite pastimes were listening to music, car rides, going shopping, and having fun with family and friends.
Marquita was preceded in death by her father, stepmother, maternal grandparents, Pearline and Roland Vereen; maternal grandfather, Kinston Green; two sisters, Patrice Williams and Tonya Williams.
Marguita leaves to cherish her memories her loving mother, Deborah Green (Garthel Hemingway) of Loris, South Carolina; two sisters, Rebecca Childers of Charlotte, North Carolina and Sandra (James) Long of Longs, South Carolina; three loving brothers, Linwood Vereen of Longs, South Carolina, Harold Williams of Columbia, South Carolina, and James Hudson of Little River, South Carolina; four aunts, Brenda Green Patrick and Tosha Green Hemingway both of Loris, South Carolina, Jenice Moody and Nora (Gerald) Knox both of Longs, South Carolina; two uncles, Chris (Sabrina) Green of Greensboro, North Carolina and Ronnie Vereen of Longs, South Carolina; three best friends, Deloris Riggins, Veronica Jackson and Latissa “Kissy” Holden all of Loris, South Carolina; a special cousin, Dayquan Johnson of Loris, South Carolina; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
