On December 23, 2024, God saw fit to call Lewis to eternal rest.
Marshall Lewis Bellamy was born on November 4, 1955, in Conway, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Annie B. and Frank Bellamy, Jr. He graduated from Conway High School in 1974. After graduation, he moved to Newark, New Jersey, and resided there for 20 years. After moving back home, he became the neighborhood helping hand. If he could help someone in any way, he would be there. Everyone loved and cared for Lewis.
He attended Greater St. James AME Church and helped in any capacity he could. He loved to praise and worship the Lord.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, Elise Bellamy Lewis, Donnie Bellamy, Alphonza Bellamy, and Frankie Bellamy Finney.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Marcus Temond McDonald of Conyers, Georgia; one sister, Roberta Bellamy of Conway, South Carolina; three brothers, Jerome (Genevie) Bellamy, Calvin (Tammy) Bellamy of Summerville, South Carolina, and Rodney Bellamy of Conway, South Carolina; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a close friend, Fred Godwins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funerals Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday December 28, 2024 at Greater St. James AME Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday December 27, 2024 at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.
