Mary Nelson

Mary Elizabeth Jackson Nelson, better known as "Mary Frances", was born on December 22, I947 to the late Henry and Mary McCray Jackson. She departed this life on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

She attended Horry County Public Schools in Conway, South Carolina.

Mary Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Jackson; a son, Anthony Jackson; two sisters, Juanita McNeil and Anna Elizabeth Jackson of Conway, South Carolina; three brothers, Henry, Jr., Issac Jackson, and Robert Jackson of Conway, South Carolina.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Henry Benjamin Nelson of Conway, South Carolina; grandson, Mark Anthony Jackson and four additional grandchildren of New Jersey; five brothers, Elijah (Sylvia) Jackson of Conway, South Carolina, Herbert Jackson of Clio, South Carolina, Thomas Jackson of West Palm Beach, Florida, Frankie Jackson of Charleston, South Carolina and James L. Jackson of Georgetown, South Carolina; a sister, Joyce Brown; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Jackson of Charleston, South Carolina and Georgia (Roosevelt) King of Lake City, South Carolina; two brothers-in-law, Donald Nelson of Lake City, South Carolina and Moses McNeil of Darlington, South Carolina; a niece, Dorothy "Doris Ann" Calloway who was like a daughter to her and nephew, Mathias Jackson who was like a son to her; a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly, along with a close family friend, Darryl Scott.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, May 5, 2024, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.
