Mary Patterson

Sis. Mary E. Patterson daughter of the late Spivey D. Dewitt and Maggie Faulk was born May 1, 1932 in the Randall Farm section of Conway S.C. Mary departed her earthly life on Tuesday, September 28,2021 at Conway Medical Center.

She attended Horry County Schools. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour and joined the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading novels, sewing, plane rides and visits from her grandbabies.

She was joined in Holy Wedlock to Mr. Nathaniel Patterson.This union was blessed with ten children and six preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish three daughters Queenie Burgess of Conway S.C. Louise (Sonny Boy) James of Tabor City N.C. and Joann Anderson of Conway S.C. and one son Howard (Tonya) Patterson of Winston Salem N.C. Four sisters: Pastor Marva Vereen of Conway S.C. Magdalene Moody of Bayboro S.C. Alice Brown and Annie Ruth Grissett both of Conway S.C. Four brothers: Johnny Dewitt, James Allen (Joyce) Dewitt, Alvie Dewitt of Conway S.C. and Joe Dewitt of Winston Salem N.C. One aunt Dollie Mae Faulk of Conway S.C. 13 Grandchildren, 32 Great-Grandchildren and 12 Great Great Children and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mary Patterson of Conway, SC passed on September 28, 2021. A viewing will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel. There will be a graveside service held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2021, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway. Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel will be assisting this family.
