Mattline Ray Tyler

Mattline Ray Tyler of Fair Bluff, NC passed away on August 5, 2023.

Mattiline Ray Tyler was born on June 4, I959 to the late Samuel Pearl Tyler and the late Sadie Ray Tyler. She departed this life on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Pruitt Health of Durham, North Carolina.

She was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and grew up in Fair Bluff, North Carolina where she attended high school. Shortly after graduating high school, she went to Georgia and attended Job Corps for 3 years. She then returned home and later started doing farm work and personal care services for the elderly until her health began to fade.

Mattiline was a lovable, friendly person who was so full of life and would give you the shirt off of her back. She was a wonderful mother, not only to her own but to many others.

Mattiline was preceded in death by her parents, Sammie Tyler and Sadie Ray Tyler; her son, Robert Tyler; her brother, Samuel Tyler; her sister Geneva Darby; her nephews, Joseph Jerome Tyler and Allen Jerome Tyler; her nieces, Shakelia Brantel Tyler and Shaquawn Lee Ann Mearite; a great-niece, Sha'Riah N'Asia Kelly; a great nephew, Markel De'Andre Evans; her grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories to her daughter, Fachies Thallis Tyler; her son, Sammie William (Peggy McMillan)Tyler; five grandchildren, Sammie Tyler, Jr., Jai'mir Akeem Harmon, Alyssa Lasha Tyler, Sa'niya Tyler and Ja'ndah Tyler; great-grandson, Dre'merson A'meir Malloy; one brother, Robert Harold Tyler; five sisters, Deborah Elisa Ray Tyler (Morris) Barden, Jacqueline Tyler, Lilly Ruth Tyler, Brenda Denise Tyler and Sadie Elaine (Ronnie) Mearite all of Fair Bluff, North Carolina; two special friends, Troy Johnson, and Katrina Bullock; two special nieces, Dajiah McRoy and Audrey Tyler; an uncle, William (Sharon) Legette; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Butler Branch Baptist Church, Fair Bluff, NC.
