Mazie Ree Wolfe (Pat) Ford born June 14, 1944. Monday morning on October 5, 2020, God chose a beautiful Angel for his Garden.
The daughter of the late Ross and Essie Wolfe. Mazie (Pat) was born in the Mt Calvery section of Conway, SC. She attended Horry County public schools.
Mazie was employed with AVX for 30+ yrs. After retiring, she enjoyed church, ALL babies, and spending time with her family. Mazie joined Mt Calvary MBC at an early age. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Aaron Ford and moved her membership to McNeil Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was dedicated to a lot of auxiliaries: Sunday School teacher, Kitchen Committee, Pastors Aide, Youth Department, Awesome Missionary, devotional leader and a dedicated delegate for the Kingston Lake Union until her sickness. Her favorite songs: “God has smiled on me” and “I am Free” She was a member of the Royal Court Sunlight Court #4 Lodge.
In early morning hours, you can find Mazie working in her garden or planting flowers and before sunset you found her doing her daily walk along McNeil Chapel Rd.
She was preceded to her grave in addition to her parents and husband, a sister Clarice Lewis, 4 brothers Johnny Wolfe, Leroy Wolfe, Christian Wolfe, and Charles Wolfe, and loving sister Eula Mae DeWitt.
She leaves to cherish 2 sons: Rickey D Ford (Pauline) of Charlotte, NC and Eddie J Ford of Woodbine, NJ. 2 sisters: Elouise Robinson of Millville, NJ and Mary Hubbard of Wildwood, NJ. 1 brother Jason (Linda) Wolfe of Florence, SC. 6 sister in laws: Madgeline Wolfe, Isabel Wolfe, Eva Wolfe, Berneatha Wolfe, Betty Ford and Flettie Bell Lewis. 4 grandchildren, Rickey Ford Jr, Justin Ford, Gabriella Ford and Joshua Ford. 2 special nieces whom she called her daughters: Essie Manley and Sharon Dozier. 2 special friends: Christine Smith and Susie Jefferson.
She also leaves with fond memories a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mazie will truly be missed shaking it down!!
She was definitely the life of any gathering.
Mazie Ford of Longs passed October 5, 2020. There will be a funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020, at McNeil Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Longs. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at Ocean View Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach Chapel. Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel is in charge of this service.
