Milton R. Gause Sr. was born on May I3, I950 to the late Spencer & Ronnie Gause in the Popular section of Horry County, SC. He gained his wings and transitioned over to his new home on August 24, 2024.
Milton was educated at Chestnut High School. He was employed with Grove as a welder for 40 years in Conway, SC. He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and continued to be strong in his faith until his health failed. He joined Popular AME Church at an early age and remained a member until his transition. He was also a member of the Traveling Angels group where he sung and traveled with them for years. August I6, I969, Milton married the love of his life Cora Gause for 55 years, and to this union three children were born.
He was preceded in death by his father Spencer Gause Sr., mother Ronnie Gause, his brothers, Ruben Gause and Joe C. Gause; sisters, Ollie Mae, Ella M., Mary, and Gertha.
Milton leaves to cherish loving memories three children, Gertha (Joseph) Fernandez of Tabor City, NC; Milton Jr. (Keywanna) Gause of Supply, NC and Carolina (Caundray) Buckman Longs, SC; ten grandchildren, Essences, Shyrill, Tamara, Serenity, Ciarra, Timothy, Milton III, Christopher, Keviontay and Dalequan; ten great grandchildren, Ja'sir, Armanie, Samara, JuJu, Riley, Jeresiah, Ezekiel, Rayia, Arayah and Samaria; two brothers, Bennie Vaught and Spencer (Lucille) Gause; three sisters, Betty Keel, Annie M. Gause and Roxie Clarida all of Longs SC; mother—in—law, Flossie Pinckney of Longs SC; three brothers—in—law, Dentus J. Bellamy of Longs SC, Timothy (Allanna) Bellamy of Winston Salem, NC and Troy (Zelda) Bellamy of Longs, SC; four sisters—in—law, Joyce (Charles) Price; Mary Gibson, Joysie Mae Gowins and Linda Bellamy all of Longs, SC; special friends, Dennis Hemingway, Floyd Livingston, Joe Valentine, Donnie and Dale Taylor; a special nephew, Abel (Kerri) Gause; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Popular AME Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Wednesday, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, North Strand Chapel.
