Mother Daisy Stanley

 DAISY ARMENIA STANLEY was a dear and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who has gone on before us. We grieve because we loved her and shall miss her from our presence. She made the transition to her heavenly home on Sunday January 23, 2022, at the age of 106 years old.

Daisy was born on June 5, 1915, to the late Frank and Callie Bellamy of Conway, South Carolina. She graduated from Whittemore High School and attended Allen University.

Daisy was converted at an early age and was a faithful member of the Greater St. James AM.E Church. She was president of the Senior Choir where she sang her all-time favorite song "Don't Wonder About Him." Daisy was truly a servant of God having served on various church committees including the Stewardess Board and Women Missionary Society. She was also a chartered member of the Willing Workers Chapter No. 323 O.E.S. since 1954.

 In 1948, Daisy was joined in holy matrimony to the late Priestly Stanley and to this union two children were born. Throughout her life, Daisy was a teacher, domestic worker and served in various roles in the Hotel and Restaurant Industry. She was loved by all her family and members of the Cochran Town Community. She was known for her lemon pies, fruit cakes, banana pudding and many other delicious foods.

 She is predeceased by her son Dwyane Keith Stanley; two brothers Collie Bellamy and Frank Bellamy Jr.; one sister Bessie Stanley and two grandsons Larry Franklin Jr. and Marcus Perkins.

She leaves to cherish her memories are her beloved daughter Marjorie Franklin (Larry) of East Orange, NJ; daughter-in-law Victoria Stanley of Conway, SC; grandsons barryl Stanley (Tekeshe) of Conway, SC, Jason Franklin of East Orange, NJ, Keith D. Stanley Charleston, SC; granddaughters Callie Franklin & Robin Franklin of East Orange, NJ, and Detra Stanley of Conway SC; great-grandchildren Dan-en Stanley of Conway, SC, Mea Perkins & Cameron Perkins of Conway, SC, Ty-Janae Gibbs of Newark, NJ, Rhy Stanley of Conway, SC and Marjai Franklin of Closter, NJ; special relatives Mable Johnson & Matline Cox of Conway, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Daisy Stanley of Conway passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022.  A viewing will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Greater Saint James AME Church in the Cochran Community of Conway. Burial will follow at Greater St. James AME Church Cemetery in Conway.
