Nathaniel Jordan Obituary

Nathaniel “Thomas” Jordan Sr. was born in Conway, SC in March 7th, 1945 to the late Elijah Jordan and Frances(Moore) Jordan. He attended Whittimore High School before he traveled north to Connecticut. While there he met and married Valerie Singleton on October 29, 1966. He served in the Army from 1967-1969. He later returned back to Conway where he owned and operated Jordan’s Auto Clinic. 

His favorite past times included coaching football & watching His Pittsburg Steelers Play, watching & being a boxing coach, enjoying his fishermen’s club, riding with his motorcycle club(Conway’s Finest), he lived for the Weekends Riding around with Melvin on Sundays, and hanging with the guys in Sugar Hill at Abdul’s Store on Fridays.

He leaves to Cherish his wife of 54 years, Valerie Jordan: (1) Daughter Shirley Singleton: (1) Son Tony Jordan(Yvette): (1) honorary son Craig Chestnut, all of Conway, SC. (1) brother Saul(Marsha) Jordan of Norwalk, CT, (1) sister Celia(Everette) Sands of Conway, SC, and (2) deceased brothers Daniel(EL) Jordan and David Jordan. (1) Sister-In-Law Barbara(Earl) Frieson

Grandchildren: Antwan, Donald(Kelly), Nicole, Patrick

Great Grandchildren: Nehemiah, Harmony, Serenity, Bella.

Special Nieces and Nephews: Francine, Saul Jr, Dewayne, Michael, David Jr, JoAnne, Jennifer, Nina, Cassandra, Derrick, Everette Jr, Lamont, Anthony, Renee 

Special friends: Melvin McCants, Douglas Bratcher, Drew Drayton, Frank Eagles, Abdul Singleton, and a host of friends and Family. 

 

 

 

Nathaniel Thomas Jordan of Conway passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Service will be at 1:00 PM  Friday January 29, 2021 at Hemingway Chapel AME Church cemetery located in Conway, SC.
