Nina R. Bellamy of Little River passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness. 2 Timothy 4: 7-8

She was educated in the public schools of Dillon County. Nina was a housekeeper, and housewife and cared for many, many children throughout her lifetime. She was married to the late James D. Bellamy and to this union, I3 children were born.

Nina accepted Christ at an early age. It was then she joined Mt. Zion A.M.E Church and was a faithful member until she was called home to be with the Lord. She served in several capacities over the years as a class leader, stewardess, Star of Bethlehem, and a member of the Senior Choir.

Nina was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Bellamy; five sons, Wade Bellamy, James L. Bellamy, James E. Bellamy, Charles Bellamy, and Benjamin Gause; four daughters, Retha Bellamy, Celestine Sanders, Isabella Vaught, Mammie Shields, and all of her siblings.

Nina is survived by her remaining children. Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair; perhaps you sent a funeral spray, if so we saw it there. Perhaps you were not there at all; just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much whatever the part.
