Patricia Ann McCray

Patricia Ann "Pat" McCray, daughter of the late Jerry York and Hazeltine McCray was born January 3, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York.  She attended the Public Schools of Kings County and graduated Martin Luther King, Jr. High School.

At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Universal Church of God in Christ where she sang in the Choir and was a dedicated member.  She moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1994 and later joined Greater True Light Ministries.

She worked many years as a Cook and was a Walmart Associate.  As a result of her generous spirit, love for her family and friends she was loved by many.  Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.  She quietly departed this life Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at home after battling cancer.

Her memory and life will forever be cherished in the lives of her daughter, Shanita (Robert Jackson) McCray and granddaughters, Trinity, Zianneya, Zier, and Zionana. Her siblings Darlene Officer of Radcliff, KY, Reverend Timothy McCray of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ray Antoni Gosha of Gilbert, AZ. Her Aunt's Mother Bonnie McCray and Clinda Swinton and Uncle Andrew "Fuzzy" McCray of Myrtle Beach, SC, Vera Bates of Delaware and Betty Martin of New Orleans.  Adopted Sisters Brenda McCray of Myrtle Beach, SC, Rena (Rev. Porter) Denson of Orlando, FL, Wanda and Karen McCray of Baltimore, MD, Melissa McCray of Brooklyn, NY and Showanna (Mark)Willard of Longs, SC.  Adopted Brothers Desmond (Yakeema), Dwayne (Tiffany) and Dexter (Cajuana) McCray of Brooklyn, NY and Kent (Robin) Holoman of Myrtle Beach, SC. A Special Cousin, Caregiver & Friend Latisha Swinton of Bucksport, SC and Exceptional Childhood Friends Delores Smith & Barbara Smalls of Brooklyn, NY and a host of devoted cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.

Patricia Ann McCray of Conway passed on February 3, 2021. There will be a graveside service held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2020, at Owens Cemetery in the Bucksport community of Conway. Ocean View Funeral Home Myrtle Beach Chapel will assist this family with this service.
