Quantrell Thajis Jones

Quantrell Thajis Jones of Conway, SC was born July 12, 1973 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Nettie Ruth Jones and the late Sam Brown. He transitioned honorably as a Donor of Life to his eternal rest at 12:08 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 surrounded by family and supportive friends.  

“Trell” as he was affectionately known by all, attended Belmont Runyon Elementary School in Newark, New Jersey. His teen years were spent in Conway, South Carolina with his mother and grandmother, the late Minnie Ruth Jones. He attended Whittemore Park Middle School and graduated from Conway High School with the Class of 1992. After graduation, he joined the United States Army National Guard 20063rd Battalion in 1993. He was currently employed at Wholesale Furniture in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. 

He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Quantrell Jones, Jr. and one daughter, Lakendra T. Jones; two granddaughters, Kennedi Sherman and Kambrie Sherman; two bonus grandsons, Jayvion Cox and Tayvion Cox; three brothers, Rev. Woodrow (Rev. Dorothy) Jones, Jarodd (Sonya) Jones, and Kendric Jones; one sister-in-law, Paula Jones; one uncle, Larry J. Jones; three aunts, Mamie (William) Turner, Vivian Iszard, Georgia Mae Jones; nine nieces, Lakendra A. Jones, Tara A. Jones, Khamila Jones, Kayla Jones, Tiearrah Badger Jones, Faith Jones, Jasmine Jones, Aliyah Jones and Kendra Jones; two bonus nieces, Tekeshe (Darryl) Stanley, Candice (Mark) Richardson; five nephews, Derrick Jones, Matthew Chambers, Kendric Jones, Jr., Austin Jones, and Jarodd “JJ” Jones; two bonus nephews, Lorene (Juanita) Jones and Brandon (Kenneth) Jones; three friends till the end, Dre’ Durant, Charles Hemingway, Jr., and Darlene Sessions; several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
