Quashauda Kota Burroughs

Quashauda Kota Burroughs was born on March 20, I979 to the late Mr. Elijah Moore and Ruth Burroughs in Bucksport, South Carolina. She departed this life on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

She attended Conway High School and graduated with the class of I998. After graduation, her main role was to be a daycare worker, taking care of and nurturing many children.

"Shauda" as she was affectionately called, had a great passion for singing, doing hair, and taking care of children. She was always considered the "life of the party" and was known for putting smiles on others faces, having the talent to always bring out the best in a person. Shauda would always save special and precious time to be "Nanna" to her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jawaun Burroughs; and two brothers, Jeffery Burroughs and Controy Burroughs.

Quashauda leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Quindon Burroughs and Damarius Pyatt both of Bucksport, South Carolina, and Patrick Dewitt of Conway, South Carolina; two daughters, Aniya Dewitt and Alexious Dewitt both of Bucksport, South Carolina; five siblings, Olivia Moss of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Lutricia (James) Bellamy, Allen Burroughs, Davien Burroughs, and Carmeeka Burroughs all of Bucksport, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Cassidy Bennett, Chozyn Pyatt, and Cyse Pyatt all of West Virginia, Niyomi Dewitt and Niy'lani Dewitt both of Bucksport, South Carolina; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Salem AME Church.  Interment will follow in the at Bucksport Community Cemetery.  There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.
