Reba Livingston Price was born on March 17, 1932, in the Popular Community of Wampee, South Carolina, to the late Bertha L. Brown and Raleigh Livingston. On Friday, May 2, 2025, Reba transitioned from this earthly realm into eternal rest.
She attended the historical Popular Training School of Horry County, South Carolina, in the late 1940s. Reba was united in marriage to the late James H. Price on May 13, 1966. Their marriage would last for only a short time, with the passing of James on December 24, 1968. Reba worked as a homemaker and housekeeper in New Jersey and South Carolina. She attended Wilfred Academy Cosmetology School in Toms River, New Jersey, in the early 70’s while raising over 13 children. It was then that she gained a passion for cooking, fed many people in her community, and raised many grandchildren. Her favorite line was “See Here!”.
Along with her parents and husband, Reba is preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Livingston; two sons, Steven Price and Dirk Price; one brother, George David Livingston; nine aunts, Mammie, Fleettie, Ethel, Edna, Claude, Zenobia, Gerotha, Vastine, and Fray; six uncles, Jefferson (JD), Isiah (IJ), Cliffton, Arthur, Maceo, and Wilford.
Reba will be remembered by her daughters, Frances Evans, Berthena Livingston (Raymond Hunter), Vicky Livingston, Patricia Stephens, and Erica (Donnie) Bellamy; her sons, Bennie Livingston, Jonathan (Renee) Livingston, Ricky (Darlene) Livingston, Glenn Livingston, Issac Livingston, Jeffrey (Terraine) Price, and Kirk Price; 36 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren; special friends from Tom’s River, New Jersey, the Hardee, Clark, and Parker families; special friends, Angeline Livingston of Longs, South Carolina, Dessie R. Hickman of Loris, South Carolina, Edna Livingston of Brooksville, South Carolina, Mary Livingston of Longs, South Carolina, and Petrina Wiley of Sumter, South Carolina; classmate and friend, Carrie Hemingway; special cousins, Sonnie Livingston of Longs, South Carolina, Clorie Jones of Trenton, New Jersey, and Delinda Lewis of Longs, South Carolina; special nieces and caregivers, Serenda, Swantasha, and Conswella Livingston; special nephews, Michael and Morrell Hemingway.
