Rhudell Smith

Rhudell J. Smith, the daughter of Magnolia and Green Jones, was born November 9, 1934.

She departed this life April 27, 2022 at her residence after an illness.

She was educated at Whittermore High School, Class of 1950. She was a faithful member of Greater St. James all of her life until she married. After marrying Ben Smith Jr., she became a member of Bethel AME Church.  They were blessed with three children one who preceded her in death (Windell Smith).

She leaves to cherish: 2 daughters: Ruth Ann (Brodus) Gregg and Wanda Faye (Tommy) Campbell both of Conway, SC. Five grandchildren: Tameka (Antwan) Johnson, Tawana Gregg, Tangiela (Terence) Counts all of Conway, SC, Windell (Mariah) Smith of Columbia, SC, and Danielle Smith of Charleston, SC. 7 Great-grandchildren: Martwain who has preceded her in death, Jaishaundrea, Jomeka, Jermaine, Tainara, Jaden and Joseph. One Sister: Lila Barnhill of Brooklyn, NY, 1 sister-in-law: Edna Mae Smith of Conway, SC, 2 brothers-in-law: Brokker T. Sarvis of Bayboro, SC, Hezekiah Johnson of Augusta, GA and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Rhudell Smith of Conway, SC passed away on April 27, 2022. There will be a viewing held on Saturday April 30, 2022 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel. A graveside service will be held at12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Conway.
