Richard L. Anderson

Richard L. Anderson of Conway passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024. 

Richard Leroy Anderson was born on February 4, 1962, in Conway, South Carolina to the late Herman and Mae Dee Jones Anderson. God, in His infinite wisdom, saw fit to call Richard home on Friday, September 6, 2024, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Richard studied in the public schools of Horry County, attending Conway High School. He also worked at Central Park.

Three brothers, Johnny O’neal, Charles Anderson, and Herman Jones preceded him in death.

Richard leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Amelia Anderson of Florence, South Carolina; three grandchildren, I’yanta, Brandon, and Aniah Dyson of Florence, South Carolina; two brothers, Julius (Myrtle) Jones of Conway, South Carolina, and Gary Anderson of Conway, South Carolina; three sisters, Peggy Jones of Conway, South Carolina, Mary Anderson of Conway, South Carolina and Joyce (Cecil) Fletcher of Columbia, South Carolina; two aunts, Suezie Davis and Rebecca Moultrie both of Conway, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and loved ones.

A person who departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts.

A Homegoing Service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at New Faith Temple of God in Christ.  Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel is assisting the Anderson Family.

There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at Peggy Jones's home, 2209 Turtle Street, Conway, SC 29526 at  2:00 PM on Friday, September 13, 2024.
