Rita G. Degisi

Rita Degisi, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, in Conway.  She was 94 years old.

She was born July 22, 1931, in Manhattan, NY.  Rita was the daughter of Margurita and Ignazio Gugliotta.  She grew up in a large family alongside 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Rita had a vibrant personality and an enduring sense of humor and wit. Rita shared a devoted marriage with her late husband, Carmen Degisi.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Joyce Degisi, grandsons: Daltin Vassallo and Jack T. Stevens, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Those who knew Rita will remember her sharp wit and infectious laughter.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Inurnment for Rita and Carmen will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Florence National Cemetery.
