Ronald Leo Larcheveque, born on March 30, 1936, passed away on September 14, 2024. He was married to his love and life partner Louise (Blain) for over 64 years. Ron was born to R. Leo Larchevesque and Blanche (Lord) in Hartford, CT. He grew up in Manchester, CT, and attended Manchester High School and The University of Connecticut where he graduated with a BS in Business Administration. At UConn, he was a member of Chi Phi Fraternity and was President his Senior year. He went onto receive professional designations of CLU and ChFC, began a 25-plus-year career with CG/CIGNA, and then opened his own financial planning practice. He and Louise enjoyed vacationing in Paris, London, and Switzerland. Ron dearly loved and was extremely proud of his family. With his children, they had fun camping in Vermont, Maine, and Nova Scotia. He enjoyed sharing his corny humor with them and playing card games. Ron is survived by his five children and their spouses. Jon Larcheveque (Cathy), Michele Catino (Bob), Terri Iacocca (George), Blain Larcheveque (Nelly), Lee Larcheveque (Kelly). Grandchildren Trevor Larcheveque (Sarah), Julie Larcheveque, Chris Catino (Pao), Arielle Iacocca (Kyle), Adam Iacocca (Susie), Lucas Larcheveque (Will), Miles Larcheveque (Avery). Ron was thrilled in 2021 to welcome a great-grandchild Oliver Leo Larcheveque. He is survived by his Sister Carol Blow (Paul) and is predeceased by his sister Jeanne Lemek. Ron volunteered with Harford Habitat, Manchester Homeless Shelter, and the Cursillo Movement (DeColores) and was an accomplished musician and watercolor artist. He was an avid reader of prose and poetry, a political junkie and was a huge fan of the New England Patriots (Brady) and the Tampa Bay Bucks as well as UConn Husky basketball and professional tennis.
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial next spring in Rhode Island with family and friends.
