Ronald Williams of Conway passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
Ronald Williams, son of the late Leila Barrett and the late Joe Williams, was born on December 16, 1931, in Newark, New Jersey. He departed this life on October II, 2023 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
He met Mary Parker in Newark, New Jersey and they were married in 1969 being united for 54 years.
He was a graduate of Newark Tech and later went in to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War was the proud owner of Getty Gas Station for more than 25 years before retiring.
Ronald was saved at an early age with two of his first cousins at Long Leaf AME Church in Robins, North Carolina. In his later years, he was baptized in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He attended church at Reigning Tabernacle of Joy Healing Ministry in Newark, New Jersey where he served as Deacon until he moved to Conway, South Carolina in 2016. He worshipped faithfully at Devine Assignment Church until his health began to fail.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Leila and Joe Williams; one sister, Margaret "Peggy" Jones; and one son, Ronnie Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mary Parker Williams of Conway, South Carolina; six children, Deborah Grady of Delaware, Todd (Brenda) Williams of Virginia, Jammie Bryant of Conway, South Carolina, Gregory Williams of Newark, New Jersey, Wanda Faniete of Charleston, South Carolina, and Rhonda McCormick of Texas; two brothers-in-law, Moses Jones of Newark, New Jersey, and Gene (Barbara) Parker of Conway, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Stella (Speedy) Davis of Conway, South Carolina, and Janie Mae Booth of Conway, South Carolina; 14 grandchildren, one of which was raised as his son, Roger Ramone Bryant, I2 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Military Honors. The interment will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 23, 2023, at Florence National Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.
