Ronnie Parker Obituary

Ronnie Parker of Conway passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23: 4

Ronnie Parker was born on November 25, 1961, to the late Stalvey and Lucille Parker. On Saturday, November 25, 2023, Ronnie transitioned from his earthly tabernacle to be with his Lord; for when we are absent from the body, we are present with the lord.

Ronnie was a devoted and loving husband and was known as a fun, loving and outgoing person who never met a stranger. In 1979 he met the love of his life, Sandra Butler and they were joined in holy matrimony on December 23, 1981.

Ronnie attended Horry County Schools and enlisted in the United States Anny faithfully serving for IS years. During his time of service he received several Army service ribbons: the Army Good Conduct Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the National Defense Service Medal. Upon his retirement from the military he worked as a bus operator for Lymo Waccamaw Transit Company for 13 years. Ronnie was baptized at an early age and he joined Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Conway, SC. He was also a member of the motorcycle bike club "The Buck Wheat Boys".

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Elease Jones, Ricky Parker, Dorothy Gause, T. Ethel Chestnut, Steve Parker and Willie Jr. Parker; brothers-in-law, George Butler and Jonathan Butler.

Ronnie leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife, Sandra G. Parker of 41 years; three daughters, Tatanshia Parker, Keosha (Kenardo) Campbell, and Shance Parker all of Conway, SC; his loving grandchildren, Aaliyah (Rashond) Johnson, Nyeshia Parker, Marquez Parker, Shania Parker, Shaniyyah Parker, Alexis Parker and Dallas Graham all of Conway, SC; his great grandchildren, Khristian Moses, Jayceon Johnson and Reagan Johnson all of Conway, SC; his siblings, Diane Parker of Charlotte, NC, Jack Parker of Conway, SC, Billy (Gloria) Parker of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jimmy Johnson of Conway, SC, Jean Days of Rochester, NY, and Junior (Janice) Days of Conway, SC; sisters-in-law, Fannie L.
