Mr. Rubin Nathaniel Edge was born on August 20, 1945 to the late Jimmie and Alberta Edge. He gained his wings to his eternal home on October 11, 2025.
At an early age he accepted Christ as his personal savior and became a member of Macedonia AME Church in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was affectionately known as Naye, Nathaniel, Papi, Gerber Gerber, Dank, and Nate. He retired from Myrtle Beach Hilton and Tidewater Golf Course. He was an avid fisherman and loved watching GRIT TV (westerns).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Alberta Edge; one daughter, Retha Mae Nance; a grandson, Marvin Jerome Nance, Jr.; four sisters, Catherine Bellamy, Lorraine Prince, Lizzie Mae Alford, and Sharon Riggins.
Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 58 years, Elouise Edge of the home; his children, Lena Edge and Nathan (Lisa) Edge; four grandchildren, Willis (Susan) Nance, Daryl Edge, Ingrid Edge, and Stephon Edge; four great grandchildren, Lily Nance, Isabella Nance, Kia Nance, and Landon Edge; one sister, Pastor Sandra Jones; four brothers, Jimmy (Archie Bell) Edge, Edward (Beverly) Edge, Albert (Star) Edge, and Lee Otis (Angie) Edge; many other family members and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, friends, and one special friend, Al Vereen.
