Sandra Kulick Obituary

Sandra “Sandi” Kulick 76, loving Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and friend, born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania on July 16, 1946, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 23, 2022, in Longs, South Carolina, surrounded by her loving family, after fighting breast cancer for over a decade. She was the daughter of the late Nathan and Loretta MacNeal.

Our mother married the love of her life, our father, Thomas Kulick in October 1968. They went on to have two children, Sean, born March 1970 and Jennifer, born August 1972.

She had nothing but goodness in her heart and was the most loving, graceful, patient human that you would ever have the pleasure of knowing. Her passion was her family, especially her grandchildren. If ever anyone needed any help in any way, she would give whatever help was needed. She always put everyone before her; she was the most selfless person in the world. She was a Eucharistic minister for many years at Holy Rosay Church, Hazleton, Pennsylvania and was, always involved in charitable causes. Her biggest joy and happiness were her five grandchildren. The sun is a little less bright now that she is gone.

She fought her cancer with calmness, strength, courage, and dignity. Never once asked why me or complained she did not deserve this; she took it on the chin like a champ. Strength comes in many forms, but the strength she put forth during her battle was a monumental display for her family. To say ‘she will be missed’ is an understatement, not only by her family, but also by her very loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Thomas George Kulick, infant grandson Keith Thomas Laylo, brothers, Nathan MacNeal, Eugene MacNeal, and twin brother Robert “Bobbie” MacNeal.

She is survived by her son Sean Kulick and his wife Annie Kulick of Drums, Pennsylvania, daughter Jennifer Laylo and her husband Keith Laylo of Longs, South Carolina. Her cherished grandchildren, Benjamin Kisacky, Liam Kulick, and Gabriel Kulick of Drums, Pennsylvania, Nicholas Laylo, who is currently serving our country in the United States Navy and Erika Laylo (her closet little confidant on earth) of Longs, South Carolina, and many loved nieces and nephews.
