Ms. Shelby Jean Bryant, the daughter of the late James and Ethel Farris was born on December 22, 1948 in Nichols, SC. She attended Spring Branch School and later became a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend. Blue. In 1964 she started working at Cedar Creek School as a kitchen attendant for 13 years. Her hobbies included cooking and taking care of her grand and great grandchildren. Shelby Jean Bryant was the wife of the late Lee Morris Bryant.
Those left to cherish her memories are her 4 sons: Lee Morris Bryant Jr of Lexington, KY, Johnny (Yolonda) Farris of New York, Douglos (JoAnna) Stinson of Longs, SC and Michael Davis of Loris, SC, 2 daughters: Diane Bryant of Loris, SC and Betty Elmore who preceded her in death, 1 brother Isaiah (Linda) Farris, one aunt Sadie (James) Elmore, 2 brothers James and Walter Farris and 1 sister Louise Goodwin who all preceded her in death. 50 grandchildren, a host of great grands, nieces and nephews. 2 Special friends Vanessa Bryant and Gregory Chestnut and 1 special friend who preceded her in death: Albert Simson.
Shelby Bryant of the Popular Community passed on April 28, 2021. There will be a graveside service held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Fair Bluff, NC. A viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Conway Chapel. Ocean View Funeral Home, Conway Chapel is in charge of this service.
