Sherald Myers, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Sherald U. Myers, 73, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, after a long illness.  Sherald was the son of the late Mr. Essie and Mrs. Etta Jane Myers.  He was preceded in death by two (2) brothers, Benjamin Nelson Myers and Donald Michael Myers, and one (1) sister Fadie Sue Grier.

Sherald the man that never met a stranger.  By the end of the conversation, you were his friend.  Despite being diagnosed with Agent Orange and other illnesses he fought triumphantly.  His medical prognosis never kept him from living an entire life; but it motivated him to exceed all medical expectations.  By the grace of God, he did!!!

Sherald gave his life to Christ at an early age.  He was the beacon of light within the community and was UNSTOPPABLE.  Many will remember him as being full of life.  He left his mark of kindness, laughter, loyalty on so many who knew him.

He served in the United States Army until retirement.  He has done numerous other jobs since his retirement from the military; but his first love was being a Private Investigator.  He enjoyed working in the law office of Mr. John Hilliard.  He enjoyed getting dressed up for work in his suit and tie and walking down the hall of the courthouse with his cane and that smile he wore every day.

Sherald strived to be his best regardless of the hat he had to wear.  Whether it was as a husband, father, granddaddy, great granddaddy, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, coworker, or friend he wore it well.  His sickness was his hardest challenge and God always has the last say.

Sherald leaves to cherish his memories his virtuous and dedicated wife of 54 years Loubertha, and their four (4) children Rochelle (Arthur) Geathers, Marcus (Kissha) Myers of Georgetown, SC, Yolanda (Tommy) Washington of Pineville, SC, and Sherald (Kyle) Myers of Raleigh, NC.  He leaves ten heartbroken brothers and sisters and their spouses, Lee Jackson Myers, Rayford (Earlene) Myers, Priestly (Teresa) Myers, Maggie Myers and Donna Ross all of Georgetown, SC, Thomasina (William) Lindsay, Carol Jean (Paul) Landry all of New Haven, CT, Davidlena (Donald) Hill of Williamsburg, VA, and Android Wright of Suffolk, VA.  He was loved and adored by all 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; beloved cousins Jimmie and Janice Bromell, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends who looked up to him and thought they were his favorite.
