Shirley L Williams

Shirley Lee Williams, born to the late Martha Davis and Walter Keel Jr., was born on January 1, 1957 in Marion, South Carolina. She will also join her brother, Gene Woodbury, who predeceased her death. She was educated in the local school system and served her community in various ways. Despite the earlier hardships in her life, she found a way to endure life’s journey. Giving birth to her five beautiful children whom she loved deeply and unconditionally was her greatest joy.

Shirley took great pride in being there for the ones she loved most. In spite of setbacks, she made the most of her time and of her many talents. She served at Tara Grinna Swimwear as a seamstress for over 15 years; there her coworkers became her family as well. She thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated her job. However, her declining health left her to rely on her unwavering faith and her loving family.

Shirley is survived by her brother, Kenneth Graves, her loving children: David Davis, Kenny Davis, Tessa Miller, Timothy Davis, and Deshawn Williams, South Carolina, nine grandchildren: Kevon McKinnies, Terence Sessions, Cameron Miller, Keon Simons, Kenny Davis, Johanna Davis, Jalen Davis, Maddox Sherman, and Halil Brantley, a host of great grandchildren, a special family friend, Heather Larrimore, relative, neighbors, co-workers, and friends.

Shirley Williams of Conway passed January 17, 2021. There will be a chapel service held 3:00 p.m. Friday January 22, 2021 at Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel. Ocean View Funeral Home Conway Chapel will be assisting the family with this service.
