Tereca Ann “Resa” Knox was born on October 22, 1966, to the late Robert Brown and Ella Brown. Tereca attended Myrtle Beach High School, where she graduated and obtained her diploma in 1985.
She later met and married Anthony Q. Knox of Baltimore, Maryland, to whom two children were born. Resa continued her education, obtaining her degree in culinary arts from Augusta, Georgia. She then brought her culinary skills back to her hometown of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Tereca’s memory will be cherished by her children, Asia C. Knox and Tyer Q. (Jordan) Knox, both of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; six sisters, Pastor Shirlice (Bishop Charles) Washington of Myrtle Beach South Carolina; Sheron (Milton) Ramos of Florida, Mildred Brown of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Lateak Geathers of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Latasha Conyers of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Andretta Geathers of Miami, Florida; five brothers, Robert Brown of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Ronaldo Brown of Washington, D.C., Adrian “AB” Carter of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Brian Sarvis and Aaron Sarvis of North Carolina; three aunts, Norma Ann Geathers of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Veronica “Ronnie” Geathers of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Ann Brown of Columbia, South Carolina; two uncles, Walter Geathers and Eddie Geathers of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a very special friend, Mr. Terry Jenkins of Mississippi; special friends, Barbara Hytower, Alice Alston, Linda Dickerson, and Sis. Kim Von; one goddaughter, Shelquen Washington, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
