Tysheria I'Shenia-Sha'Mya Bessent

Romans 14:8 If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

Tysheria I’Shenia Sha’Mya Bessent, the daughter of Yashicia “Sheka” Bessent and Larry Herring, was born on March 14, 2001, in Myrtle Beach, SC. On Saturday, April 26, 2025, God, in His infinite wisdom, chose to remove Tysheria from her earthly home to her heavenly home. She will be dearly missed, and her memories will be cherished forever. 

Affectionately known as “Pooh Pooh,” Tysheria grew up in a loving environment alongside her mother, Sheka; her grandmother, Mary Marcilla “Cilla” Bessent and her siblings. She attended North Myrtle Beach High School and was known for her fun-loving spirit, outspoken nature, and protective instincts toward her brothers and sister. There was never a dull moment when Tysheria was around; she truly was the “Life of the Party.” Her sense of humor, vibrant personality, and zest for life endeared her to everyone she met. 

As a child, Tysheria attended church with her grandmother, “Cilla,” where she participated in Sunday school, the Mt. Calvary Youth Choir, and the youth enrichment program. She will be remembered as a sweet young lady with a radiant smile. 

Tysheria was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary Marcilla “Cilla” Bessent and Samuel E. Marlow and her paternal grandparents Laura (Lee Grant) Richburg and Larry Herring Sr. 

Tysheria leaves to cherish her memories her mother, father and a bonus dad- Timothy Dyson (Brooksville SC); four brothers; Ja’Mareon Bessent; Ja’Roderick Bessent; Avery Mason –all of Myrtle Beach SC and Quantez Dyson (Longs SC); three sisters; Ty’Shanae Bessent (Myrtle Beach SC); Quantasia Williams (Longs SC); and Eboney Pugh (Iron Hill NC); four uncles: Krishmer Bessent (Little River SC); Recardo McNeil (Mid-land TX); Terron Marlow (Ash NC); Brandon Dyson (Brooksville SC); nine aunts: Lawanda Gause (Norfork VA); Sade Marlow (Calabash NC); Brittany (Timothy) McMillian (Kelly NC); Jasmine Mendoza (Ash NC); Donna Herring (Loris SC); Makeesha Hill (Myrtle Beach SC); Sheila (Robbie) Williams (Little River SC); Jacqueita Dyson (Brooksville SC); Ronchekala Veness (Longs SC); two nephews Za’Kari Williams and Zamorion Pugh; great uncles; great aunts and a host of other relatives and devoted friends.
