Viney Davis

Viney Carter Davis was born on July 28, 1933, in Fredericksburg, VA to her parents Mary Lou Carter and Eugene Winston Childs. She attended Walker-Grant Fredericksburg Public Schools. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist in Fredericksburg, VA. She later married Richard H. Davis Sr. and from this union 4 sons were born. Richard H. Davis Jr., Crisconi E. Davis, Sebastion R. Davis, and Rommel A. Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and oldest son Richard H Davis, Jr.

Viney worked numerous jobs in her lifetime. Prior to retirement she worked at Gallahan's Furniture Store in Fredericksburg, VA. Viney lived the vast majority of her life in Virginia. She moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in the year 2000 to be near her sister Marie and undergo Breast Cancer treatment. She became a member of Sandy Grove Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Her life will be continued to be celebrated by her surviving children Crisconi (Eur) Davis of Warrensburg, MI, Sebastian Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC and Rommel (Charles) Davis of Atlanta, GA, two sisters; Marie Washington of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jeanette Scott Wynn of Fredericksburg, VA' one grandson Crisconi E. Davis Jr, Five great granddaughters Alize E. Davis of Warrensburg, MO, Malena N McMurtrey of Lee's Summit, MO, Giavanna R. Davis of Lee’s Summit, MO, Kialana R McMurtrey of Lee's Summit, MO and Desiree A Davis of Warrensburg, MO. Several nieces and nephews, her sisters-in law Verde!! Walker and Carolyn Walker both of Chesterfield, PA, and a numerous number of loving relatives and friends.

Viney Davis, age 88 of Myrtle Beach, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at her residence.  There will be a Funeral service held 12:00 p.m. Thursday September 9, 2021 at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist church. Viewing will be held prior to the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. Burial will follow after the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in 
Conway. Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Myrtle Beach Chapel will be assisting this family.
