Vivian A. McCray

Vivian A. McCray of Conway passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Ms. Vivian Ann McCray was born to the late Edna Mae Williams and the late George MCleod III on January 5, 1959, in Sumter, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life at Conway Medical Center on March 4, 2023.

Ann as she was affectionately called, attended the Sumter County Public Schools. She held several jobs over the years where working at the Brookdale Conway Retirement and Assisted Living Facility was her last place of employment.

Along with her parents, Ann is preceded in death by a brother, Charles McCleod, and a step-sister, Bonita Stewart.

She is survived by her children, Leron McCleod, Sean Adams (Sandra Williams), Vera (Jeffery) Hemingway, and Angela McCray; her siblings, Willie Bell Rogers, Barbara Jean Milligan, Ernestine McCleod, George McCleod, Jr., Jeanette Moore, Mary McCleod, Shevone McCleod, and Phillip McCleod; step-sisters and step-brother, Donna Stewart, Shelvy Stewart and William Stewart; grandchildren, Tonisha Benett, Deonte Gore, Cadarius McCleod, Molly McCleod, Laquan McCleod, Kishanda Adams, Alazia Adams, Sean Adams, Jr., Nicholas Williams, Tramont Thomas, Sariah Thomas, Brandon Moore, Adrian Moore and Davon Moore, Jr; step-grandchildren, Jeffery Hemingway, Ajahna Bellamy, Akira Chestnut, Justice Hemingway, Jahova Hemingway, and a host of great-grandchildren, and other families, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.  There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.
