Walter Davis, Jr.

Walter Davis known as "Huss" entered eternal rest Sunday February 2, 2020 at his home. He was the youngest of six children, born November 4, 1948 to the late Mr. Wardell and Sarah Davis. He was born and raised in Horry County. He attended school in Horry County Public School. He lived a portion of his life in Miami Florida. Walter Davis later returned to Horry County and later made Marion, SC his home. He worked in School District 3(Rains) and School District 1(Marion). He worked many years for Sunbelt of Marion. He always kept his sister Edna (Muriel) Murray yard looking beautiful. He will be missed by all the community. 

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Bobby Davis, J.L (Buddy) Davis, two sisters: Sarah Burton and Edna (Muriel) Murray.

He leaves to cherish his memories; One brother James (Alice) Davis of Thomason, Georgia. A devoted, companion, loving caregiver, Johnnie Gene Gowins, and her children Travis Crawford and Christina Johnson and her son Cameron Johnson who called him "papa". Special nieces Deloris (John) Bolden of Albany, Georgia and Nadine Allen of Rains, South Carolina. Special Friends Faye Bryant, Junior Hartwick both of Marion, South Carolina. Host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
