William Walter “Bill” Vollrath, 85, passed away on August 3, 2024, following a decline in health. Born on August 7, 1938, in Lancaster, PA., he was the son of the late Roy Vollrath and Eleanor Sullivan Vollrath.
Bill was a U.S. Navy Veteran who loved relishing in his memories of living on a submarine. He spent most of his career as a manufacturing plant manager, however, he ended his career as a security officer. Bill was a gun enthusiast and avid hunter. In his free time, he taught himself ammunition reloading, took first place in every turkey shoot, and enjoyed going to the shooting range.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jean Jeffrey Vollrath of Little River; one son, Patrick Vollrath (Diane) of Surfside; one daughter, Tracy Morgan of Little River; grandchildren Braden Vollrath, Madeline Morgan, and Emily Morgan; and one loving furry companion, Sam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eleanor, and sister, Brenda Long.
