Willie Gee was born on October 30, 1946 in Timmonsville, SC to the late Sam Gee, Jr. and the late Ethel Mae Cain-Gee. He departed this earthly life on Monday, February 10, 2025.
After attending Brockington Elementary School in Timmonsville, SC, he relocated to Aynor, SC where he spent most of his life. After a long career, he retired from Allen Scrap Metal, located in Loris, SC.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Gee, Jr. and Ethel Mae Cain Gee; two children, William Gee and Cheryl Ann Arthur; nine siblings, Alberta Gee, Joe Hubert, Doris Gee, Janette Gee, Cora Lee Smalls, Willie Mae Gee, Ronnie Gee, Dennis Gee, and Lena Mae Gee.
Willie leaves behind a legacy of love and his memory will live on in his wife Geneva Gee, his remaining siblings, Charles Gee of Mullins, SC, Samuel (Hazel) Gee of Aynor, SC, Deloris Stukes of New York, Clifford Gee of New York, Jerry (Frances) Gause of Marion, SC, and Franklin Gee of Miami, FL; his children and step-children, Willie Earl Gee of Marion, SC, Timothy Gee of Marion, SC, Shirley Ann Arthur of Whiteville, NC, Betty Ann McRae of Bennettsville, SC, Willis Jowan Mitchell of Conway, SC, Chrissy Gee of Loris, SC, Kim Gee of Georgia, April Johnson of Marion, SC, Regina Huggins of Marion, SC, Daviana Huggins of Conway, SC, James Huggins of Pittsburg, PA, Helen Covington of Bennettsville, SC, Gloria Thomas of Bennettsville, SC, Patricia Grady of Bennettsville, SC, Martha Witherspoon of Bennettsville, SC, Tasha Bruce of Bennettsville, SC, and Brenda Smith of Bennettsville, SC; 34 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
