Willie Stanley

Willie Lee Stanley was born on September 7, 1953 in Southport, North Carolina to the late Simon and Wilhemina Stanley. At an early age, Willie accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, Willie transitioned from this earthly realm into eternal rest.

Willie was a 1971 graduate of Shalotte High School in Shalotte, North Carolina. His favorite hobby was basketball. Willie was a fan of the San Francisco 49ers football team. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Josephine W. Stanley, and they were blessed with three children. Later he met and married the late Estella S. Stanley, and they were blessed with three daughters.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, six aunts, seven uncles, both of his wives, a son, Edward C. Williams; three siblings, Carol Crawford, Connie Stanley, and Denise Royster.

Willie leaves cherished memories to his children, Sherry Williams, Bernice Williams, Cathy Sinclair, Autrey Sinclair, Gwen (Ted) Sanders, Michael Stanley, and Sophia Menser; two brothers, Simon (Ethell) Stanley and William (Rita) Stanley; two sisters, Minnie (Charles) Bellamy and Rachael (Derrick) Smith; one aunt, Ruby Livingston; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
