Zykeon Dewitt of Conway passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

Zykeon Tyval Dewitt was born on September II, 2009. On Sunday morning, May 26, 2024, God saw fit to call one of His faithful angels home to rest at MUSC in Charleston, South Carolina.
He was a student at Whittemore Park Middle School, and 2 1/2 months before he transitioned; he transferred to Conway Middle School. He loved going to church with his aunt and uncle, Alicia and Nelson Edge at True Way Missionary Baptist Church. He was a sweet, well-mannered, respectful young man who was always being silly and doing crazy things that kept a smile on everyone's face. He loved being on the computer and playing video games. Zykeon was a rising 9th grader who devoted himself to learning computers, technology, and programming.
Zykeon was preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Dewitt Remy of Conway, South Carolina,
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, LaQuasha Vereen of Conway, South Carolina and Christopher Montgomery of Longs, South Carolina; stepfather, LaQuintan Vereen of Conway, South Carolina; his brother, Zalin Dewitt and baby sister, Jenesis Vereen; his loving grandparents, Price, and Lisa Montgomery; step-grandfather, Jerome Remy; great grandmother, Gwendolyn Grissett; uncles, Tre Dewitt, Edward (Tezra) Grissett, Willie Joe (Terrie) Dewitt, Johnny (Mary "Kat") Grissett, and James Montgomery; great uncle, Jacob (Audrey) Booth; aunts, Sandi (Jamie) Meadows, Janice Days, Sandra Wells, Mary Dewitt, Ethel Washington, Johnniemae (Edison) Grate, Ilesha Williams, and Dyshelia Williams; special aunt, Elizabeth Dewitt; special cousins, Shonda Dewitt, Krishawn Smalls and Taya Grissett; along with a host of aunts, uncles, sorrowing relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel.
