Mr. Wesley Adderson Sr. was born on January 18, 1951, in Georgetown, SC to the union of the late Mr. Columbus Adderson and Rose Dear Adderson.
Wesley was a 1969 graduate of Choppee High School. At an early age he joined Bethel AME Church in the Plantersville Community. After graduation he relocated to New Haven, CT where he was employed by Stop & Shop Distributors and Pratt & Whitney. Upon returning to SC, he was employed by Georgetown County Water and Sewer District and a beloved employee of Walmart.
Wesley met his sweetheart Lindy Sessions while residing in New Haven. They married January 16, 1988 and had been for 34 years prior to his passing. Their marriage was blessed with four children.
Wesley enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Sampit Bass Club. He also enjoyed hunting and was a member of the East Plantersville Hunting Club. He enjoyed conversing on several topics at Walmart and playing with his grandchildren.
On Sunday January 8, 2023, Wesley was called home by the lord while hospitalized at Tidelands Health Waccamaw. He was surrounded by his loving family when he transitioned. Cherished memories are left in the heart of all who knew and loved him. These include his loving wife Lindy Sessions Adderson. His children Michael Groom (New Haven, CT), Edward Adderson (Conway, SC), Weslynn and Wesley Adderson Jr. (Palm Bay, FL); his six grandchildren Edvondre' Adderson, KeAna Smith, Alijah Ochoa, Edgerin Adderson, Kimani Adderson-Cooper, and Gabriel Gantt. His siblings (their spouses): Mrs. Ruthena Wearing (Melvin), Mrs. Mildred Pyatt (Sammie), Mrs. Ruth Vereen (Jessie), Ms. Bessie Genise Adderson, Vernon Adderson all of Georgetown, SC, Columbus Adderson Jr (Mary) of Nesmith and Mrs. Rosa Deis (Michael) and James Adderson (predeceased Arlyn) of New Haven, CT; very close cousin Rochelle Geathers and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Wesley Adderson of Plantersville passed on January 8, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Bethel AME Church in the Plantersville Community. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Ocean View Funeral Home and Beach Crematory, Conway Chapel will be assisting this family.
